Altocare operates through two brands, Senior Helpers and MedTec Healthcare, and together they deliver a full range of in-home care. Senior Helpers offers personal care and programs for people with chronic conditions. MedTec adds in-home services and adult day programs.
Together they cover a wide slice of what aging families need. The mix also spreads the business across private-pay clients and Medicaid-supported ones, which steadies revenue and widens the group’s reach. A single platform can invest in caregiver training and technology a lone agency could never afford. That extra muscle tends to raise the quality of care across every location.
Building the Bench
Steve Jakubcanin leads Altocare as executive chairman, and he brings more than 20 years in home care and post-acute services. As an executive partner at Waud Capital, he knows both the operating side and the investment side.
Franchise know-how matters here. Senior Helpers grows through franchisees, and running a franchise network well takes a particular skill set. The platform has been staffed with leaders who’ve done exactly that kind of work before, and that beats hoping to learn it on the fly.
